I seem to be having eye strain. My progessive tri-focal script seems to be ok and is not that old. Additionally, sometimes after sleeping/closing my eyes, upon waking and seeing, for example, a white/cream door it will appear bright yellow. I also will see black lines and other colors that aren't there. It goes away quickly and does not occur at any other times. I do have an appointment to visit an opthalmologist next month, but would like to know now if there is something I should be concerned about. Philip

these symptoms on their own are not ocular red flags. it is important to see the ophtho due to the change youre experinecing though. color distinguishing usually worsens with age an strain. as long as you have no visual field losses where you are having blind spots or floaters you should be fine to wait.

Sounds reasonable, but what would cause the initial bright (primary) colors. It looks so real. Is it likely to increase in duration? I have this idea of eventually seeing everything in terms of primary colors - how bizarre!
