After pulling out an ingrown hair I realized that I had wounded the area enough
that it left a deep cut. The cut itself took a long time to heal and afterwards
a raised scar was left on the wound site of my genitals. I have had scars like
this before so I wasn't worried. Lately I have become very self conscious of it
after using a scar treatment cream for it. The scar will expand and turn white
after I get out of the shower and it also appears that layers of skin are being
slowly removed from the raised scar site which gives it a bumpy appearance.
Should this be something I should be concerned about or is it natural in the
scar's healing process. The last time I had a raised scar like this I was young
and I do not remember how it healed.

Thank You

it may be that is the way your body formed a scar...something like a keloid...this happens in a small percentage of people that sustain a cut or laceration...the best way to get it corrected is to see your doctor...thiey often will refer you to a dermatologist who can use steriods to remove the raised apperance and help shrink the scar...don't try much else until you see your doctor because they should see it in its true form
