I suggest you call your states department of health,and ask for professional licensing,and job description.They would be able to tell you.You can call them at 1518-474-5170 Dr.nagel .She is the one in charge for nys respiratory.If she cant help you ,at least she can guide you from there.I am not sure but I as a respiratory therapist myself believe only a therapist can set up bipap machines,however if your job is under medical supervision,there may be a clause.Also you can call The national board for Respiratory care at 1-913-599-4200 also the Association of respiratory Care at 1-972-243-2272.Hope this helps.
