If you find something new on self exam, you really should have the area imaged, possibly biopsied. There is information on breast cysts and other lumps at http://www.imaginis.com and http://www.northshorelij.com (under breast health) as well as other good medical sites. If you have trouble with insurance, contact your local American Cancer Society for free screening and mammogram with the "Breast Health Partnership" program.

What you describing is probably a skin Sinus. This is a condition in which there is an opening on the skin that communicates to a deeper tissue. The swelling may be as a result of a collection in the inside part of the sinus. I would suggest that you get in touch with your physician who wold examins you and advise an ultrasound to see the extent of communication of the sinus and advise further course of action.

Do let me know if you need more information, please remember to 'accept' the reply if you find it useful; a positive rating & a bonus at your discretion would be appreciated,

the answer seems very distant, but I understand that my question may be something hard to analize. I have always been told if something looks black like this it should be taken seriously. If you had such a condition; how seriously would you take it? Would you waite and see if it changed our would you take imediate action with you doctor.

Thank you for your advice
