I twisted my ankle two weeks ago and it is still stiff and sore when I wake and is sore in the afternoon well into the night. I am able to walk on it and was able to bear weight on it minuets after injury. At what point should I be concerned and seek medical help?

Optional Information: Female , Age: 30

I iced it the night I injured it and the next morning. I kept off of it as best I could for 4 days and wore a splint.

If it was a bad sprain it can actually take up to 6 weeks to heal completely. You know your body better than anyone, if it doesn't feel right to you then you should go have an x ray taken. Other wise know that it does and can take up 6 weeks until it will feel better. Tendons take a bit to heal. You can continue to apply ice, keep the ankle elevated as much as you can. Ibuprofen for pain and inflammation will help to.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *accept* button!
