Hi Silver

I'm so sorry to hear about your neice!

The specialist you want to take her to is called a gastroenterologist.

In the mean time, here is more information on Ulcerative Colitis.

To Kerry:

Thank you for the answer, but we've already knew the kind of specialist we should go to, we didn't sit around doing nothing and watching her sufferring. What we need is a referral for the names of the best gastroenterologist in Canada or USA.

As Kerry has clearly stated you need to see a gastro, you could find the same in any big hospital, IF you want me to look up some local hospitals having a pediatric gastro section, do send me your location

Hello Kerry,

Thank you Kerry for your help, but your answer doesn't really help either. I live in Los Angeles and we have several best medical facilities in the USA such as USC, UCLA and Cedar Sinai - and yes, we could have gone to any of these facilities but we feel that we don't want to fish around any more but go directly to the best doctor. I thought I could get a referal if I try this site but your answer is too vague. Thank you any way........ Silver

Thank you Kerry, that's what my brother did in Canada - as I said the doctors there couldn't give us any answer on the cause or the cure that's why I'm trying her in the USA. I'm willing to pay you for your time but at half of what I posted since I didn't get the right kind of answer I needed - how can I do that. Silver
