My problem is my feet, It just started two days ago... My problem is Yesterday I was in the mall and started to get pain on the top of my foot, I had sneakers on same ones for a month...well pain started to feel the same in other foot, really bad pain like in the muscle, continued through out the night and day went to bed woke up was ok......then this afternoon I was sitting with company and got up to get the coffee and couldn't walk the bottoms of both feet were killing me. I was literally crying trying to walk, now they have subsided but STILL very painful on top and bottom... I just got a physical 2 weeks ago and everything was fine accept for my calcium was low, I am overweight 214lbs female. healthy I don't smoke nor drink, Any suggestions on whats going on or how to help it? REPLIED Check Mark

It may be related to the bones (bone spurs) or the muscle, ligaments and tendons as well, which if you were doing a lot of walking these same muscles & ligaments that run down your legs also effect your top foot too. Which could be due to over use, possible the new shoes as well. After wearing the shoes the feel do swell a bit, that is why it is always best to purchase shoes in the mid day to allow room for expansion. I think your best bet at this point (even if the pain is not as bad as it was when you wrote the question) is to see a podiatrist, just so that they can see what may be going on and you can get proper treatment without having another painful episode. Peoples feet take the most of everything we do, so there are several things that can go wrong. So do see a podiatrist so you can get proper treatment.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

poor circulation, infection, tumors, arthritis, If the plantar fascia gets bruised or over-stretched, the inflammation causes heel and foot pain as well. But as I'm sure without an in person exam and x ray it would be hard to pin point the exact cause.

Not sure if you have tried anything at home at all. Main thing would be either Cold or warm compress (you would have to see which may feel better) Stretch exercises. Sit with your legs straight out, toes pointing upward, the slowly point your toes toward you and hold a bit then point toes away and hold a bit.

But from what you have mentioned would think bone spur at the moment, especially with how you described the pain. I have had them so I know how that pain feels. Next thing would be possible pinched nerve as well.

You don't mention swelling or anything so to me that rules out edema or injury. So try the above, but I would still suggest a visit to a podiatrist. I know you said you have been wearing the shoes for a month now, but sometimes it can take that long for feet to bother someone, it may not be right away either. It may be cushion or the way it absorbs shock as well.

Hope this helps Hun.
