I am to have an angiogram. Is this procedure safe and necessary test for evelation of a problem?   Is there a test less invasive. Thank you.

In experienced hands, angiograms are very safe. The type of information given from this test is can be priceless. Angiography may be used if the doctor is considering surgery, because it shows a clear picture of the blood vessels. I don't know your whole situation or medical history etc. Some other options may be Doppler, digital subtraction angiography (from venous dye injection),CT Scans, MRI etc...
