My son was playing basketball Monday when he

My son was playing basketball Monday when he tried to make a jump shot and came down on his knee bending it to the side. There is no swelling that I can tell but he says it hurts him constantly. I have no medical insurance and am unable to take him to the ER for an x-ray. Is there anything I can do for it besides ice and heat?
