Help, help, help...I cannot seem to find the answer to my question anywhere, I'm having severe hair loss, and i mean severe this occurs a week before my period and during my period.

I'm not on any medications and I'm 41 years old. I have experienced hair loss in the past but nothing like this. It is so bad, that you can see my scalp in the front all the way to the back. I'm so stressed out because of this, I'm also getting extremely hot and cold, fever, nausea, i think it is related to stress over my hair, but at this point i don't know any more.

I have gone to a dermatologist and told me it was hereditary, and i had alopecia or something like that and that was it. I had mamogram done, it was fine, i had a pap smear done, and they found 1 precancerous cell 2 from 1 to 5, doctor said, she will remove it but she wants to let my immune system fight it and see if it goes down to a 1 and eventually kill. Right now, I'm crying because i got dissmised at my dermatologist, i cannot get a transplant I'm not a good donor because my hair is also thinning in the back and lower head.

I started taking propecia, and it helped, but my hair falls again a week before getting my period and during my period. I'm thinking of starting the birthcontrol pill Jasmin, i don't know what to do anymore besides using a wig. I tried Rogaine for women, did not work, if any my hair starting falling even faster.

Help me.

Reply to Susan's Post: Also, i have been tested for tyroid and it was fine, hormones as well it was fine, and i was tested for lyme came back positive, got retested again came back negative, looks like my immune system is killing everything. My hormone test was not done during my period or a week before, i don't know anymore, so confused. thanks for any help.

Hi, How far is Brick NJ from Manhattan NYC?

Reply to Susan's Post: Very far. I'm in NJ, a different State, i live in Brick, but there are other towns around, like Toms river, Lakewood, Point pleasant, Jackson, Howell, Freehold, any of these towns are about 30 minute drive.

Did you read my post about the hormones test and the tyroid and lyme?
