My left hand has tingling and numbness. What is wrong?

For the past few days, my left hand has been tingling and becoming numb.

Could you specify which part of your left hand has become numb? Is it the whole hand, the thumb side OR the otuer fingers side.
DO you have any other medical problems like diabetes?
Are you using a lot of computers (typing a lot) ?
Are you on any medications?

Reply to Gaurav Gupta's Post: I haven't been typing much more than normal. It is my whole hand, not just part. As far as I know, I don't have diabetes. What are other symptoms? I am on no medications other than birth control.
