Question

Broken veins in hands, fingers, etc.

Sent to Health Experts March 15, 2006 2:56 a.m.

Occasionally, I'll feel a soreness on the inside of or at the base of my finger, the fleshy area of the palm connected to the thumb right close to the wrist, or somewhere else on the inside of the hand. The soreness can be quite painful and there is always really dark bruising. This condition usually last several days, diminishing more as each day passes. My mom gets it too & we've always thought this to be broken blood vessels that just happens. What is this and what is the cause?   Thanks.
