The word is Modic

Another meaning of the word is edematous.

Edematous means: An excessive accumulation of serous fluid in tissue spaces or a body cavity

serous means: Containing, secreting, or resembling serum

serum means:The clear yellowish fluid obtained upon separating whole blood into its solid and liquid components after it has been allowed to clot. Also called blood serum
