I am having right jaw joint pain up near my ear when I open my mouth wide and close my mouth tight. "Normal" position is pain free. I can not bite into anything and chewing has to be repetitious, small, slow movements.   I just ate some soft tuna and now it is hurting but will ease once I keep it still. Also, my front upper and lower teeth are not "hitting" correctly, they seem out of alignment. I have NOT been hit or bumped or done anything at all that could have knocked it out of alignment. It just began to hurt. I have not had any recent dental work and my teeth are in great condition. I do not have a cold or sinus problems. What can it be? I called my PCP and was told to see a dentist, my dentist told me to go see my PCP. I will call and make an appt but who whould be the most helpful?
