I am a woman 48 years old. I am losing a lot of hair every time I take a shower.
I dye my hair on an average of once every three weeks. Would you please tell me what might be going on.
Thanks.
Renee

REPLIED Check Mark

This may be due to the chemicals which may be breaking the hair off. Another reason on a medical side can include Glandular problems- thyroid, pituitary, adrenal. Do see your doctor for a full blood work up which will give him a clearer picture of whats going on.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *accept* button!

ACCEPTED Check Mark

You state you dye your hair every few weeks. The chemicals may be causing the roots to become weak there for the follicle is causing your hair to fall out. On a medical side of one who is experiencing loss of hair could be due to a Glandular problem. Which could indicate thyroid, pituitary or adrenal. If these glands are not functioning correctly then one can experience hair loss. Which a blood test from your doctor can confirm if this is due to a medical condition or if it's due to dying your hair often.

Hope this is better..
