He may qualify for food stamps and SSI. You may however need to help control his SSI money so as not to use it for drugs. SSI can be filed for at your local Social Security Office. Food Stamps may be applied for at your local Children and Family Services. Both are in you local phone directory.
I would get him in a support group for drug addictions in your local area. Having support and help after leaving treatment facilities is just as important as the treatment itself.
Most low income or no income people can and do locate health facilities that will allow them to have medical treatment on a limited basis with little or no payment. Check in your area for one.
As bad as it may sound.............if he has a bench warrant out for his arrest it may actually do him a little good. It would allow him to be confined for another length of time without access to drugs. The downside is that he would be in his own environment.
I believe that you also need some type support group to deal and talk with. This link will provide direction for both you and your son. If possible get involved yourself with a local family addict support group. Be with people who have gone through what your going through.
