How do I know if I should seek medical attention for my heavy menstrual bleeding?
I am 42 yrs old. It is the third day of my period. For the past 12 hrs. I have had bleeding so heavy that I soak through a pad in about 30 min. to the point of going through to my clothing as well. HELP!

The general guideline is if you soak a pad in an hour or less--so, yes, you should see your doctor right away.
