Hello,

I have a medical question that is stumping me and was wondering if anybody would be able to help me figure out a possible treatment to what I am about to say:

My female friend has to go in for Iron Transfusions about every 6 mths.. within 24 hrs after the infusion she gets a urinary track infection.. some new doctor prescribes an ATB for about 5-7 days. Which lessen the symptoms but dose not touch the infection.
Within 5 days the infection has become escherichia coli... it appears my friend has a dirment cases of chonic E-coli that appears stongly after each iron infusion.
The doctors here are no help being that she see's a new one everytime she walks in the door and they only spend 5 mins with her.

I need help understanding how to treat this ecoli is it damaging her kidneys and other oragns!
