Hello,
My son is 4 1\2 months old. He was born six weeks premature. He was only 4 lbs, now he is about 15lbs. When he was born i was told he was to little to have a circumcision done. They preformed the procedure when he was 5lbs. I still thought it was too young. After the procedure he had an abnormal bleeding and we had to stay a few extra hours. It took longer than anticipated to heal but finally did. I often asked his pediatrican if it was healing correctly. He always said yes and that nothing was wrong. Recently I asked again and he finally seen what I was talking about. Some of his skin was still attatched to the glans (head). He referred me to a urologist that we don't get to see until july 5th. He will be nearly 6 months by then and they will not preform another circ on the first visit. If he does need this procdure again will the pain hinder him hitting the milestone children do around that age? Will it make him not wat to sit up, crawl etc? I was told this isn't a medical concern more of a cosmetic concern. But I was also told it was Phimosis. I looked this up and it seems to coincide with uncircumcised penises. Is this term correctly used for my son? And if I don't let them do the procedure again could it turn into a medical concern?
