First, neproxen. Six tabs at night or six tabs per day?

Bad news. Aside from the pain and weakness, it is probable that 90% of your impairment is weight related. You're doing the same thing you did before by continuing to do what you did that caused your knee problem in the first place.

Now, I'll be nicer, okay?

Are you on Social Security Disability? Your BMI (body mass index) is 51.6. If a person has a BMI in excess of 44-45 and a fixed, weight-related impairment (such as inability to ambulate independently), he/she meets the requirements. Since retiring as a medical school professor, I help people with these matters, so let me know.

The bad part again. Until you lose a significant amout of weight, I do not see a way for you regain what you have lost. You could
lose enough to possibly help you (possibly, no guarantee) and still be disability eligible.

At this point, the best I can do is suggest that you see a pain management specialist. If the band around you leg was responsible, the pain and weakness could be due to damage to nerve and/or muscle from compromised blood flow (and oxygen lack), but without that band, the surgeries could not have been done.

Let me know about the neproxen and disability. I'll try to help you as much as I can.
