Hi there are a number of causes of both short and long term memory loss. TIAs are only one possibility. Other causes include cerebral and cranial vascular disease (carotid artery stenosis); cardiac problems, diet and vitamin deficiencies; stress; and a number of other specific neurological problems.
If you have no other symptoms and no other problems you may have just had a bad day. But please keep tract on the event and when/what/where it happened, so that you can give specific information to you physician when needed.
If you are at all worried about it, or if you have any other symptoms, regardless of how trivial you think they are - then please go see your doctor.
I hope my information was helpful for you, please note that this is not intended as and does not substitute for medical advice and/or diagnosis. Only your physician can provide that for you, so please see your Doctor, get examined and make sure you follow up as prescribed.
