I have a tiny nic on my leg from shaving. It is "leaking," water coming out of my leg at that site. I have to keep a towel under my leg at all times and it gets soaked quickly. I have diabetes. I feel silly telling my doctor my leg is "crying." Can you help?

Hello,

As you are a diabetic, it is imperative that you seek medical treatment immediately. Never feel "silly" or embarrassed to confide in or discuss anything with your doctor as it could save your life in the long run.

My primary concern is that the small cut sustained while shaving is now infected resulting in what is known as cellulitis. I would venture to say that a course of oral antibiotic is warranted.

Please call your doctor if he is still opened today. I would even consider proceeding to the ER this evening if you feel you will not be able to get an appointment with your doctor tomorrow.

Here is some info, please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
