Has your fiance'perhaps been bitten by something? Has she been out in the woods lately? Is there anything visible such as a rash, or break in the skin on his calf? How long has she been suffering with this?

Has not been in the woods. Did cut the grass a week ago. Doesnt recall being bit by anything. He has a few bumps on the area that is swollen. No visible break in the skin. He has been infermed since Friday morning. We initially thought it was the flu.

When he flexes his foot toward the body, does the calf pain worsen? Is the calf red? How high is the temperature?

his shin is swollen as well and it is red. And he said yes it does hurt a little when he flexes toward the body.

Friday morninging his temp was as high as 103..and it remains at around 100.5 but this is with flu medicine.

Thank you for getting back to me. Based on what you have shared with me, it sounds like most if not all of the symptoms have originated from the calf of the leg.

With the redness, swelling and high temp, I think that an emergency visit may be in order. The calf swelling may be due to either a bite of some kind that you were not aware had ocurred or it can also represent a blood clot in the leg.

Either of these requires prompt medical attention.
I dont' think that I would wait any longer.

Good luck and let me know how you do.
