I was recently given a Cat Scan abd was just told that there is something unusual in the base of my left lung.. What could that mean?

Ma'am it really could mean anything from a false reading or shadow to a more serious illness. Your primary Medical Doctor will review this and go over it completely with you.

Something unusual means just that. They see something that normally would not or should not appear in a cat scan. Further testing may need to be done and a further cat scan may even reveal nothing.
