Twice this week I have experienced a severe pain in my stomach after drinking two glasses of ice cold liquid. this pain has resulted in me passing out, waking up and feeling much better. In one of those instances, I vomited before I came to. This happened once, two years ago, and medical personnnel suggested it had something to do with my vegas nerve freezing up and the blood flow to my brain being inhibited.
I can't seem to find much information about this possibility. The immediate solution is, of course, to not drink things that are crammed with ice. But I'm wondering about the whole thing.
