Question

Can you get hepatitis b without sexual contact?

Sent to Health Experts August 24, 2006 4:25 p.m.

Please tell me if there are other ways of contacting hepatitis b other than through sexual contact. My husband swears I gave it to him and I got tested and don't have it. How else could he have contacted it? I don't believe he has been with anyone else.

He has a severe rash problem, has had it since infancy and it causes bleeding and sweating over a hugh part of his body. Could he have been a target among friends when he's drinking and socializing with with him if they are male and had the infection?
