Hello,
I have just been told that my second set of pedicle screws in my back, specifically, the ones around the S-1 are broken again. The neurosurgeon that told me this said he could not help me and recommended that I return to the neurosurgeon that put them in. The problem is that he put in the first set that broke, then when he put in the current broken set, he lied to me. I do not trust him anymore. I live in a small town in North Carolina, - Elizabeth City, I believe I should try to see the best Neurologist around to try to get out of the agonizing pain I am in. My question is who would that be? I can get to Duke Medical Center (only 4 hours away), however, I am not sure if I need a referral and who would I contact to set up the appointment?

Nothing, I've just been told, however, I am on pain medicine, I have been ever since the fourth surgery on my back.
