Hello,

How late is her period?

If she is pregnant there could be a risk of an ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg attaches and grows outside the uterus. This can be very dangerous and requires immediate medical attention.

In rare cases, some women do have sucessful pregnancies. A lot depends on what procedure was used to perform the tubal ligation.

If she suspects she is pregnant, it would be important for her to make an appointment with her GYN for a pregnancy blood test as this is the most accurate determination of pregnancy.
