i was playing football tonight while i was running i felt my hamstring pop...and now i cannot walk or bend it without feeling severe pain. have i torn the muscle? what should i do now since it just happened about an hour ago?

It sounds like you may indeed have torn (at least partially) the muscle. I would suggest applying ice to the area, you may try over-the-counter Motrin/Advil. Tomorrow I would suggest you see a physician, probably an orthopedic surgeon to get a good evaluation.
