I think I may have a sinus infection, and it will not drain. I've had a horrible headache for a week, worse when I lean over, or strain. When I try to go to the bathroom, I get a horrible pain in my head. My sinuses usually drain down my throat constantly, but they are not doing that now. Can you recommend a decongestant? I take clariton D, but it's not helping. I cannot afford health insurance, or go for a lot of expensive testing. Thank you. P. Hynes

The only other thing that I could suggest if you want to use an over the counter remedy for your sinus infection would be Exedrin Sinus Headache Maximum Strength Non Drowsy formula. But in reality Clariton D is very effective but if it is not working now in some cases of sinus infection you also need a round of antibiotics to help clear the infection which is why the Clariton D is not working effectively now. It also could be that you have build up a slight resistance to Clariton with continued use and need a different product to help with the symptoms that you are having. If the Exedrin is not effectve since you do not have insurance you might check into your local health clinics and see if you can be seen through them. They could also prescribe a medication to help with the infection as well as the allergy symptoms you usually have.
