what is CMV?

I am working with a child who was born with CMV. I also am working with children born with HIV and am wondering if these children (HIV Pos.) are at risk of acquiring CMV if they are in contact with the infected child. The children diagnosed HIV Pos. receive medication to boost their immune systems but was told they cannot be near the child who tested positive for CMV. Please let me know what the risks are for the children and care-providers. P.S. the place I work is an orphanage in Mexico, so hygene and general preventative measures are painstaking to convey.
