A four year old boy who is potty training is having accidents with green bowel movements sometimes very loose and sometimes just soft. This has been going on for several days now. We have had colds going around. But he does not show other signs of being sick when this happens. He is not eating anything unusual and his appetite has not changed. Two other children one older and one younger are not showing the same symptoms.

Hi,
I am a pediatrician. What you are describing is a pretty normal thing that occurs in kids less than 5 years of age. They have potty accidents when they fall ill, and especially if they have loose stools due to any cause.
In your case it seems to be a viral infectin that has caused both the cold and the loose motions and has lead to this unfortunate situation.
I feel that this is a temprorary problem and over the next few days both the loose greenish stool and potty accidents should decrease. IF this does not happen by all means show him to yu pediatrician,

Please ACCEPT the reply, and give a BONUS if it was useful. If you need more information, just let me know.
