The liver metabolizes the fats in our bodies. That's why I brought up these diets.
Have you had a liver biopsy? This will tell you whether or not you have cirrhosis. This can happen without having hepatitis b or c. Hepatitis simply means inflammation of the liver. The type is sometimes harder to pin down.
Cirrhosis can also cause the high ALT.
In either case, your liver isn't functioning properly.
A low fat diet will possibly help.
