If the Ibuprophen helps but the symptoms return once it wears off it sounds as though you need antibiotics to help with the infection that you have. Since it has been going on for such a considerable amount of time I would not relate it to the other medications that you are taking if you still have the problem without taking anything other than the Ibuprophen and anytime that OTC medication is not succesful in relieving your symptoms it is a sign that you need evaluation and medication from your physician. Even with Fifth's Disease you should not still be having these symptomd for a month and a half without being seen by your physician as most likely you need antibiotic therapy.
