I have a question regarding drug interaction. I am currently taking Clonazepam for social anxiety and have found it to be very helpful. I have been taking 1 mg a day for about 3 months. I have just purchased the weight loss medication Phentermine (37.5 mg) and want to make sure there are no interactions between the two medications. I have previous experience with Phentermine and have never had any negative side effects. I have not been on it, however, for over a year and was not taking Clonazepam during that time. Can you please tell me if these two drugs interact?

The Phentermine can have some side effects such as nervousness and restlessness but if you have taken this before and had no reaction there is no warnings against the combination of these medications. They should interact fine as long as taken as prescribed but should you experience any increased nervousness or restlessness you would want to let your physician know of this reaction.
