Sent to Health Experts February 15, 2006 5:23 a.m.

I have a rash on my inner thighs and part of my buttocks. The rash has been there for a few weeks, sometimes it itches, other times it doesnt. I have been using Cortaid10 as releif for it. I was tested for STD's like two weeks ago and the results came back negative with the exception of Chalymadia, which I have already taken the medication and the doctor said it wasnt from that..   Could it be Eczema or    what else can it be?

Hi,

It look likes Jock itch.
Jock itch usually responds to self-care within a couple of weeks:
Keep the skin clean and dry.
Don't wear clothing that rubs and irritates the area.
Apply topical over-the-counter antifungal or drying powders, such as those that contain miconazole, clotrimazole, or tolnaftate
