The most common side effects associated with Wellbutrin (bupropion) are agitation, dry mouth, insomnia, headache, nausea, constipation, and tremor.

In some people, the agitation or insomnia side effect begins shortly after you start taking Wellbutrin. Some patients might experience weight loss.

Not so common side effects are manic episodes or hallucinations. Four out of 1000 persons (in doses less than 450 mg/day) experience seizures. For doses above 450 mg/day, the risk increases.

Other risk factors for seizures include prior head injury and medications which can lower the threshold for seizures. (See drug interactions click here)
