Lemsip Cough and Cold Dry Cough Medicine is one brand. It contains glycerol and honey which is soothing. A cool mist humidifier may ease the cough at night and lozenges with honey in the daytime.

The ACE inhibitors (Lisiopril) are of course known for this and there is no "cure" for the side effect except decresed dose or stopping the medicine. This should only be an option if the cough is intoloerable and not just irritating.

I have seen prescription anti-tussives (cough meds) used. Tesslon Pearls seemed to help to some degree, and are non-addictive. The other Prescription cough meds generally cause drowsiness, are addictive and don't actually address the cough's cause but mask the symptoms and in my opinion are not worth their risk.

As her body adjusts to the medicine she may find the cough eases.

Good luck-let me know if I can do more.

I hope my information is helpful. If you have more questions, just ask! I will gladly help, otherwise please click "accept".
Positive feedback and any bonus would be appreciated. Thank you, Christy
