I have flushing red skin at times. It started a couple years ago with the flushing of my ears - mostly the left one. Then about a year ago my neck would turn red and flush. Now my face flushes red as well. It is worse on the left side of my body which concerns me that perhaps something serious may be causing this. I take an antiinflammatory medicine, muscle relaxer, and sleeping pill daily for arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Hi,

What you are describing seems to be a case of ROSACEA. Laser therapy, isotretinoin, and protective barrier creams are just three of the many available treatments for rosacea. For more details try these links

Is it possible this is something vascular - I have erythema Nodosum, pinniculatis, and lymph something in one of my legs. I have had a problem with this for 5 years or more. My doctor said she thought it might be ROSACEA, but she's not for sure after looking at it. The last flair up came due to what appeared a reaction to sulfer drugs. My face turned red and my mouth inside as well. I have cpod and herniated disc in my back. A touch of sjorgrens. Yes - i'm falling apart, but I'm concerned there is an underlying cause that might be at work with all the symptoms and the medications. Is this possible?

Hi,
If this happens as a reaction to consumption of any partiucalr medicine, then it is porbably allergic in nature. If it stays for any length of time, then a skin biopsy of the area maybe helpful in confirming / ruling out a vascular cause.
Have you tried taking alternative medicines like Homeopathy for trying to help treat your multiple problems? Sometimes these work wonders since they tend to act in a complementary manner and are not system specific.
