I am a 21 year old male diagnosed with IBS,RLS, clinical depression and anxiety. I also have uneplained headhaches that have yet to be diagnosed by my GP. At the moment I take Klonopin for my RLS and partially for anxiety, effexor for dep., anxiety and to help control my IBS and RLS, and BENTYL for IBS pains. The effexor works better than the others that i have tried(zoloft, lexapro, paxil) for the conditions i have mentioned. the Klonopin works moderately well for night time RLS though not very well during the day(my Doc's directions are 1 mg twice a day and as needed for axiety). the pain and agitation in my legs can get pretty severe at times during the day and the KLONOPIN don't work as well during the day plus, they make me drowsy. Nothing that I have tried for Ibs pains have helped at all. These incude Zelnorm, hyosciamine, Librax and bentyl. Which is extremely aggervating since i have moderate to severe pain most of the time. For headaches my doc hoped the ssris would help but they haven't, nor do any OTC's, and a variety of migraine medicine i have tried(my girlfriend has migraines). What I want to know, since i have tried all of these other things with only mild successes in certain areas, would it be reasonable to try some sort of pain killing narcotic to help relieve the my pains, namely the IBS and day time rls. Please help I am at my wits end. THANK YOU.....KURT
