My 25 yr old son has severe stomach cramps, gas, and cannot eat anything other than bland rice or noodles. He has not had a drink since a week ago, yet his dr told him to stop drinking and gave him prilosec. That has not helped. Where do we look from here?

Hi, There is possibility that he may have a Gallbladder disease or a Stomach Ulcer or Pancreatitis. He can take Maalox which is over the counter medication to get some relief. He may need an Ultrasound of the Gallbladder , blood test and Endoscopy.

If his symptoms gets worse i suggest to you to take him to the Emergency room.
