My husband has been taking MS Contin 30 mg for about a year or more prescribed by his Dr. Today he went and got his prescription and had it filled, he went straight to work and took one of his pills and he realize they looked different. My husband cant read very good, anyway he called me to tell me and I asked him to spell it to me. It was morphine sulfate. What I want to know is, there any different between Morphine Sulfate and and MS Contin, also we called the pharmacy back because later when he came home and I saw the bottle it said 60mg. The pharmacy said his Dr. raised his dose. I think the Dr. must have made a mistake he never mentioned to my husband anything about raising it. Anyway we called the Dr. office but it was too late they were closed. So we have to wait till tomorrow. My husband took one and he is supposed to take another tonight but he says he thinks that a bit too much. Any advice. and please let me know what is the difference between the two the Morphine sulfate ER, and MS contin, and do you think that a 30 mg raise is too high . I also looked on the computer trying to find pictures of morphine sulfate 60 mg and the ones I saw, look nothing like my husband, his is a white oval shape pill with 60 on one side of the pill and on the other side the Letter M.
Thank you for your prompt response, oh by the way the manufacture of this pill is Ethex. Can ;you also tell me a good place to look online to see pictures and images of these type of medicatioon? Thank You Elora
