My son has atheletes foot, which is not infected. My wife forgot to ask the doctor if he can go to baseball practice today. Does practice make it worse?

Optional Information:
Male

Already Tried:
He has seen a nurse who gave him a strong cream called Ketoconazole 2%. He has been using it for almost 24 hrs. Things are starting to clear up and scab. Will 3 hours of baseball practice make it worse? How long can he play baseball today? 1 Hour, 2 Hours, 3, or not at all?

Going to baseball practice will not hinder his healing, as long as he cleanses the area after, let it air dry, and use the medication provided. Make sure he is changing his socks a couple of times a day during the treatment and even after. Make sure his shoes are clean a dry. Use the medication as prescribed. Even if it looks like it has gone away, continue to use the medication for the entire length of time prescribed, as these types of infections can look "healed" when there is still enough fungus to cause symptoms again. It may be uncomfortable, itchy or hot, but he can do as much as he feels comfortable doing. Just be sure to cleanse properly and use the medication after.
