My dad injured his leg and felt pain from his knee to his ankle. This happened 4 days ago. He is able to walk on it, but not normally. Now his leg is swollen. Is it something to be concerned about tonight or can he wait until his doctor appointment 2 days from now?

If he is able to walk on it and is not in a high degree of pain, he should stay off of it and use heat therapy as much as possible and it should be fine until he can be seen. If his pain level increases or walking becomes too painful it would suggest a need to be seen sooner. The heat will help with the swelling and inflammation and he can alternate with icing as well. He should take some Ibuprophen as well until he can be seen for the pain and it will also help fight inflammation as well.
