Hi, My bottom of my feet burn and are hard to stand

Hi,
My bottom of my feet burn and are hard to stand without feeling the aching heavy pain...i have other issues but do not know if they are related....my back doctor says he will put me on Topomax for the pain and it will also help with the weight I gained when I quit smoking 16 months ago(I weigh 183 and am 6' tall)but I went on-line and the side effects on this medicine is unbelievable...I don't know what to do about my feet and no-one can help..My feet even hurt when I don't stand that long??????Please give me some ideas on what it might be???Thank you, Lori
