Over the last few months I have noticed an increase in ...

Sent to Health Experts June 04, 2006 10:22 p.m.

Over the last few months I have noticed an increase in bruising on my legs, arms, and hips. In the past I was taking Depakote (1500 mg/day), seroquel, topomax, and celexa for 2 years. I then took Lamictal in place of the depakote for 2 months before stopping medications all together (titrated down). I have not been on any meds for 3 months now. Just last night after no injury I woke up with 25 bruises on the back of my thighs. should I be worried or go see a dr?

Hello

I wouldn't worry yet, but I would get in to see your doctor. They will want to run some tests to be sure all is well. It could be your blood clotting is out of whack a bit, but it can be fixed if that's the case. Blood tests are the first thing to test.
