mratmsc5,

Other than due to pregnancy, lactation can be caused by a hormonal imbalance, a side effect due to certain medications, or a regular stimulation of the breasts. If stimulation and medications are out of the question, then it is due to a hormonal imbalance. Please see your doctor for a blood test, to determine what your levels are.

Reply to Annie's Post: I did go to the hospital and everything came out normal what else can it be? And what does it take to stimulate the breast to lactate again?

mratmsc5,

Stimulation would require a maximum of every 3-4 hours, but it can be less than that. I would definately go and get retested, because if it's not due to any type of medication you are taking or stimulation, then there is no doubt that it is a hormonal imbalance. These are the only reasons why lactation would occur besides pregnancy.
