For the past several months, I have been having muscle cramping through out the day and worse at night. My electrolites are all within normal levels. I would like to find out the cause. Please help.

You need to be tested for quite a few other conditions to determine the exact cause of your problem, among the things that need to be considered are
  • Hypothyroidism,
  • Magnesium levels and calcium levels (both are necessary)
  • Kidney disease
  • any medicines that you may be using...
  • rarely muscle disease and neurological disease can present with these symptoms too, hence I would recommend a physicain opinion and maybe a neurological evaluation
In the meantime you would need to take plenty of liquids esepcialy potassium rich & magnesium rich foods will be helpful

Reply to Gaurav Gupta's Post: I am up to the bathroom several times a night. I had my thyroid check and it was normal. What kind of kidney problems might cause this. Also what kind of muscle or neurological problems. Thanks!
