There is nothing over the counter for this. You need to see a health care provider who can order the following tests:
- BUN, Creatinine . Normal ratio is BUN/Creatinine=20/1. If ratio is less than 10/1 that means there is a renal failure.
- IVP test . Rules out if there is a damage inside of the kidney like necrosis of the papilla inside of the kidney. If there is a damage next step can be renal failure.
- Urinalysis. Infection can be a complication of the analgesic nephropathy.
