I am scheduled to have my top two wisdom teethe removed. I take 50 mg. of Amitrityline nightly for prevention of migraines. I told my oral surgeon and my doctor who both told me it "shouldn't" be a problem but be sure to tell the anesthiologist the day of surgery. I am a littel afraid of an adverse reaction. What is lth eliklihood of an advers reaction?

I did do some research and found that the "common" drugs used by an Anesthesiologist are not drug and/or medications listed as medications NOT to take with your Amitrityline. However you still need to let the Anesthesiologist know, as he/she will ask if you are on any medications anyways. Plus if you are having general anesthesia, you will only be out for about 10 min or so, it's a very short time, so the amount of medication you get won't be that bad either.

Best of luck, Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *Accept* button.
